Margaret Jackson

Margaret is an experienced professional Violinist based in Derbyshire whose performing has taken her throughout the UK and overseas. She enjoys playing a large variety of different genres and styles from classical to contemporary pop and is available to perform for all types of events including weddings, corporate functions and parties as well as for session and orchestral work. Margaret loves helping people to mark the important moments in their lives with music and has played for numerous weddings, birthdays, proposals, parties and family events over the last 20 years. She plays beautifully arranged Classical music, Pop Covers, Jazz and some Bollywood Violin music either unaccompanied or with ambient acoustic guitar and piano backing tracks to add warmth and sparkle to your event. She also performs for corporate clients and has appeared at venues such as Hampton Court and Kensington Palace, The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Cutty Sark, The Tower of London, The Gherkin, The Chelsea Flower Show and London Fashion Week. Margaret has worked with many high-profile popular artists including Paloma Faith, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue , Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, Andrea Boccelli and Rhianna as well as appearing on television programmes such as The X Factor, Britains Got Talent, The Alan Carr Show, Top of The Pops and Strictly Come Dancing. As a session musician she has recorded for labels such as EMI, Epic, Polydor and Heavenly and has performed music in venues worldwide ranging from Primary Schools in China to a packed Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena. As an orchestral musician, Margaret has had the privilege to work with some of the country’s finest orchestras, such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The London Mozart Players, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Ulster Orchestra and the RTE in Ireland amongst others.
