Manouche Rouge are a modern swing band that can appear as a duo, trio or a quartet line up. Their basic format is as a traditional swing line up that consists of two guitars and a double bass. The repertoire of the band combines traditional swing and Django Reinhardt tracks with modern jazz which also collaborates with a team of talented singers that bring a vintage jazz edge to the whole experience. The line up is compact and being an acoustic act they make a perfect match for events where background music is required. Their ability to interact with the audience when required combined with a cheerful vibe and virtuosity on the style makes them stand as a great showband. Their quirky and upbeat style of playing always gets guests moving and provides an interesting talking point at events. As a guitar duo they have been one of the most in demand in London's wineries and cocktail bars, performing on a regular basis in places such as the Victualler / wapping, El Gaucho, Maison St. Germain/ soho, Primo Bar and Chino Latino / park plaza hotel to mention but a few.

Alexis and his co-musicians played brilliantly at my family’s drinks reception last weekend - gypsy jazz always gets a party off to a lively start and this group is absolutely at the top of that genre. The group was a pleasure to deal with and I was impressed that, at my request, they had incorporated the Bond theme tune into the evening’s repertoire. That is not known for its gypsy jazz roots, but actually sounded great! Thank you to all three musicians for living up to and actually exceeding expectations. EC

Manouche Rouge were just brilliant. We hired them for a party on a barge on the Regents Park Canal and could not fault them at all. Alexis, who leads the group, spoke to me before the event to establish what I was after, and he and the guys did not disappoint. They were very punctual, and they played 3 fantastic sets for us. So many of the guests at the party said how perfect they were for the occasion, including a friend who is a professional musician himself. I genuinely could not fault them at all and would be more than happy to hire them again. Thanks guys for helping make the party the success it was.

Manouche Rouge were the most coolest, versatile, friendly and fun band. They delighted both the elder generation in the room as well as the kids. They started with background atmosphere and we ended with friends singing along as they made their way through the room. Brilliant! I couldn’t recommend them more highly.. I would definitely use them again. Beautiful voice, they look good and have a fun and festive spirit. Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant band with a unique sound which provided the perfect ambience for our party! Highly recommended!

Manouche Rouge were the perfect band for our wedding and many guests commented on how great they were! Their choice of music was exactly what we wanted and their interaction with myself and my husband on the day was great, checking that the volume of the music was ok and asking if we were happy with everything. We also found the booking process very smooth. We couldn't have been happier with everything.

It really keeps people up and dancing and adds a special color to the whole atmosphere .Whether that 's a private party at a private space or a jazz club. Results is always the same

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are flexible as long as the duration of the booking stays the same . If there are changes to the original there is a charge of 20/hour for any additional hour added to the original schedule

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

we can provide iPod plugged in to one of our speakers for music intervals between sets.
