Founded in 2015 by O.Fischer & E Benwell, Mad Molly Band are a London-based, 2-10 pieces Party Band composed of incredibly talented musicians. With a vast repertoire of Motown, R&B, Soul, and Jazz music, we can cater to intimate and cozy events or pumped and ready-to-party audiences! We look forward to hearing from you! MEET THE BAND: EMMA BENWELL - LEAD SINGER & CO-FOUNDER OF MAD MOLLY BAND Born into a large musical family Emma has been performing since she was 6 years old. She began her professional musical career at the age of 24 when she started writing songs and working with many producers & musicians. Emma has performed at many venues and festivals. Emma is confident, entertaining, and has a very soulful & strong vocal ability. OMAWUMI FISCHER - BASS PLAYER, PERCUSSIONIST, GUITARIST & CO-FOUNDER OF MAD MOLLY BAND Omawumi is known for his extravagant personality and solid music experience. He started his musical journey at the age of 11, and formally trained from the age of 18. Passionate about arts and entertainment, he expanded his study/work path to sound engineering and music production and more recently to photography and visuals. ANDREAS LIBEROS - LEAD SINGER A full-time Soul / Jazz / R&B musician and singer-songwriter. With many years of experience in acting and having first attended Barbara Speakes Theatre School where he landed his first-ever speaking role on the popular comedy sketch show Little Britain, he has gone on to perform at many Festivals and can be found busking around London regularly. MATTEO BISBANO - KEYBOARD PLAYER Matteo Bisbano Memmo was born in Lanciano (Italy). He started playing the piano at the age of 7. With a Bachelor's degree in Classical Piano and a Master's Degree in Jazz piano, Matteo regularly performs as a soloist and in duo, trio, and other lineups. He performed in Porto Torres, Rome, L'Aquila, Pisa, Pescara, Cagliari, Milano, and Palermo, for Italian TV channels like Tv2000, TeleMax, Rete4, and in the City of the Vatican State before the Pope. GIOVANNI VELEZ - DRUMMER Giovanni Velez is a London-based professional drummer with over 15 years of experience. His music journey began in Italy aged 12, where he was studying music in different music schools as well as regularly performing in the local scene of his hometown (Palermo). Aged 19 he decided to move to London to start his college degree studies at BIMM London where he graduated with a first-class honour degree. During his permanence in London, he had the chance to perform with many talented artists including Mad Molly Band, Lili Caseley, ZELAH, M w S, SALIO, KWAYE, Westerman, Komraus, Rebecka Reinhard, Chloe Rodgers, The Morley college Big Band, Davide Shorty, Lunafruit, The Actions, Alton Edwards and many more. He also performed at some festivals internationally: Georgia (Black Sea Jazz Festival), Spain (La Noche en el Botanico), Romania (Jazz in The Park), and Sweden (Live at Heart). In the studio, he has actively recorded for several artists as well as worked closely with the independent Music Label Crowds and Power which let him record at RAK studios multiple times. Giovanni is also teaching music privately in his home studio. CLAUDIA TARRANTINO - LEAD SINGER Claudia Tarantino is an Italian-born singer and songwriter. She started her music journey at the Accademia di Musica e Spettacolo C.A.S.T. in her hometown where she vocally trained in pop, soul & jazz music and started to perform at local venues and theaters with different bands and gospel choirs at the age of 12. Claudia moved to London to pursue her career in music and since then she’s been very active in the local music scene, performing live with several function bands and exploring different styles and genres. Her soulful and smooth sound is influenced by a vibrant combination of pop, jazz, and r&b. ROBERT WEBB - LEAD GUITARIST Robert graduated from the British and Irish Institute of Music in London. Since graduation, he has worked as a professional session musician with many bands. He performed at many big-ticket festivals and shows such as V Festival and played at Hammersmith Apollo. His work has allowed him to collaborate with other up-and-coming artists in the studio, record guitar for new releases and ensemble work, and even appear on MTV. He has been teaching for over five years now.
