I am a vintage jazz,swing & blues singer who sings songs from the 1940's & 1950's. I use good quality backing tracks & have all my own equipment. My style incorporates a bit of performance with swing, jazzy, bluesy songs with a generous serving of cheekiness! I particularly like to sing the songs made famous by Peggy Lee, Julie London, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald & Sarah Vaughan but sometimes throwing in a bit of Shirley Bassey. I am definitely all about the vintage aspect of singing & performance as I love it so much. I grew up loving swing music as I inherited all my dad's vinyl & began singing jazz many moons ago back in the 1980's. I have a wealth of performance experience singing in bands in the 1990's including having a record contract in 1992. I have sung solo at weddings, birthday parties, care homes & in videos. I also am a burlesque performer (since 2018) & have been in a lot of Cabaret shows, mainly in Brighton, including Brighton Fringe. I do love an audience to have fun with! My performance highlights have been singing at friends weddings esp in the church as the acoustics were brilliant. Performing at Brighton Fringe in the 'Spiegeltent' since 2020 has been the most fun, due to the large audience & general camaraderie with other performers.
