Lucia Antonacci began her harp studies at the “L.D’Annunzio” Conservatory in Pescara where she earned a First Level Academic Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree) in Harp Performance, successively earning a Second Level Specialization Degree (Masters) in Harp Pedagogy at the “G.Verdi” Conservatory in Milan. She participated in various post-gradute courses held by harpists O.Guglielmi, J.Liber, and S.Mildonian (at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena), by G.Bosio (Harp Padogogy), and by L.Rossi. Ms. Antonacci has undertaken a busy performing career as a soloist in classical and jazz recitals, in duos and in various ensembles. She has worked as First Harp in many chamber and symphonic orchestras such as the Abruzzo Symphony Orchestra, the Italian Instrumental Ensemble, the Umbrian Instrumental Academy, the Pescara Varianti Ensemble, the Marrucino Theatre Orchestra of Chieti, and the “P.Riccitelli” Symphony Orchestra of Teramo. She has also collaborated with: the Czestochowa Philharmonic Orchestra, the Russian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra, the Razgrad Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lviv Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. She is currently First Harp in the Pescara Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Antonacci is Professor of Harp for the Città Sant’Angelo (Pescara) School District, not to mention her numerous teaching activities in such institutions as the Civic Music Schools of Montesilvano and San Giovanni Teatino and others in the entire Abruzzo Region. In this regard she has attended specialization and refresher courses in the Suzuki Harp Pedagogy Method, and she is very dedicated to the teaching of pedal and folk harp to children and adults alike.
