A collaboration between Lucy Gijsbers and Nicola Siagri, we formed our cello duo in 2018 after graduating from the Royal College of Music with the highest level performance degree offered in the UK, the Artist Diploma. Since then we have performed at weddings and special events playing a variety of classical and modern tunes, and we also arrange covers of popular songs at your request and can record them for you. London Two Cellos were absolutely fantastic- book them now! They played our wedding ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, and really for us and our guests, their beautiful music was the best part. The cellos sounded amazing in the venue and added an elegance to the start of our wedding day. They were also so easy to work with. Lucy replied to all my questions, and even our vendor’s questions, lightning fast. They were accommodating and said yes right away to our full song list, which was a mix of classic and modern songs. In what can be a stressful time, they just made things nice and easy. For what it’s worth, they also dressed the part. Even though we never specified a dress code, they looked fabulous, and blended right in with our formally dressed wedding guests. While we only met them briefly, they gave us the gift of the most beautiful and memorable music for our wedding ceremony. We can’t thank or recommend them highly enough. - Sarah & Ryan

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We love playing the cello, and that comes across in our performances! We are professional and have high attention to detail, and we are easy to contact and answer any questions you may have!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Most of our gigs as London Two Cellos have been for more intimate events such as weddings, or for recordings. Individually we have performed in high profile venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Southbank Centre, plus many more.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes we do, we have many colleagues and we regularly work with pianists and violinists, for example. We can arrange a specific ensemble to perform for you if you wish. (For example, string quartet.)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

How much time do you need to set up?

We aim to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before performing.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, cellists remain seated!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, of course, please let us know if you have any specific requests.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, except we will need chairs provided, and if playing outside, shelter from the elements.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes! Please let us know at least a week beforehand if you have any requests.
