Playing an exquisite repertoire comprised of a mix of classics by all-time master Brazilian composers such as Tom Jobim, Joao Bosco and Hermeto Pascoal, as well as music by the new generation of Brazilian composers as well as their own original compositions, the quartet creates a vibrant, virtuoso sound that takes audiences on a journey through Brazil that goes well beyond Bossa Nova. Luiz Morais’ London Bossa Quartet is far and away the best band playing instrumental Brazilian jazz In the UK. Featuring Luiz himself on 7 string guitar, Mateus Nova on bass, Sam Watts on piano and Marius Rodrigues on drums this is a band whose talent is matched by professionalism, a band you can rely on to make whatever event or show you are planning a success. London Bossa Quartet has played house concerts at Florence Latin Jazz on several occasions over the last 4 years and we have always been amazed. We booked the London Bossa Quartet for a blow-out summer garden party we were having and they were just amazing. Such fun music and their level is so high, my guests were euphoric to have such great music, perfect for summer! Our garden was transported to Ipanema beach for a few hours! The band were really kind and played loads of encores at our guests' requests and were really friendly and chatty with us and our guests. They arrived on time and were professional and courteous. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants sophisticated, fun and infectious music at their event!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is: Acoustic guitar, drums, bass and piano, but we can add vocals as well if preferred.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are happy to be flexible, although our band members are busy and late-stage changes might be difficult, we will always try to accommodate you!

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up 1 to 1.5 hours in advance.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, as three of us are sitting to play, we're not able to move around.
