Curly Wurly and the Refreshers are a Leeds based party band, led by the amiable chanteuse Laura Holden. This four piece melodic troupe will take you on a well paced journey though music history’s hits and dance-floor fillers. The band like to play something for everyone in their family friendly shows and regularly refine their set and add special requests. The band was formed in 2016 by Laura (vocals/keys) and James (guitar/vocals) with a view to having some fun and getting people singing along and dancing at events. They worked up an extensive set-list and played throughout 2016 with Luca on bass and Mike on drums/vocals before Mike left for a teaching post abroad. Bartolo has since taken over on drums and the band are taking bookings again with the new line-up. For afternoon sets or low-key events the group are able to provide acoustic-orientated songs and can adapt to your needs. Curly Wurly and the Refreshers are a versatile and experienced group made up of professional musicians, teachers and sound engineers who will arrive on time, bring their own pa and provide you with a complete live entertainment package.
