Having played at over 400 weddings successfully as a soloist/in a group - Laura is one of the UK’s top wedding violinists. If it’s quality you want, you will certainly get this with Laura. Laura can play acoustic violin, acoustic amped violin with backing, or a top of the range, eye catching LED light up (many colours!) Aurora violin - specially made in Brazil. Laura has top of the range Bose equipment that can cater for small ceremonies up to 300-400 guest small festivals! Gaining a degree in violin performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Royal College of Music, as a scholar Laura is a freelance violinist in the southern region. Early education includes a scholar at the international Pro Corda chamber training, a member of various county and youth orchestras, of whom she performed solos with and led. Since graduating, Laura has performed many recitals, including touring Holland with the SYCO performing the a Bruch violin concerto, performing for worldwide TV adverts, for United Nations Summits and for the prime minister at No.10 Downing Street. Laura performs regularly as a freelance with professional orchestras and as part of string quartets for weddings and corporate functions. Laura plays for UK and international festivals including Glastonbury, IOW, Valley Fest and summertime live with various bands and ensembles and performs Classic Ibiza with the Urban Soul Orchestra. Laura can play any genre, including pop, hip-hop, house, jazz, rock, indie rock, folk, classical and Bollywood. Approach her with any song, she hasn’t failed to find a piece of music as of yet! Laura is extremely approachable, amenable and always strives to make the music of your event/wedding day ambience just perfect with a wonderful tone.

Wow! What can I say, Laura is absolutely 5****** I’ve never heard a violinist play with the sound that comes out of Laura’s violin. It brought me to absolute tears. She is incredible. Not only that, her smile lights up the room. She arrived over an hour early and even started playing early as guests were there! You will not regret booking Laura. I’m over the moon! Arrival of at least an hour before your ceremony. Up to 30 minutes of music prior to your ceremony. Your ceremony music including the processional, signing of the register and recessional (or likewise for different weddings). Music requests bespoke to you.

Arrival at least one hour before your ceremony. Up to 30 minutes music prior to your ceremony Music for your ceremony - processional, signing of the register and recessional (or likewise for different weddings). 1 hour of music during your drinks reception.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My beautiful tone, my professional set up of equipment, my smooth running and back up of absolutely everything! That I am helpful, happy and giving the best service that I can. Your day is the one of the most special days of your life and I make sure the music is just as perfect for you.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

No.10 Downing Street, BBC studios, Hampton Court, a lot of wedding venues (over 200 - from Coombe lodge in Somerset, to Corfe Castle and Abbotsbury in Dorset). From beautiful remote churches in Cornwall, to huge temples in Dubai! The world is my oyster.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I have a huge range of music that I love. Vaughan Williams - The Lark Ascending is very inspiring, but I also love playing DJ sets with artists such as Aviici.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I’ve played for celebrity weddings as well as at No.10 Downing Street for the prime minister at the time. Also other things include: BBC tv shows, televised adverts and Glastonbury festival

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes - I often play with a pianist as well as in a string duo, trio and quartet. I am also part of a band that can provide evening entertainment and I can do DJ sets with electric violin.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to be flexible to ensure your event is as smooth as possible, so will always endeavour to change timings were necessary.

How much time do you need to set up?

I always arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the event. Set up is very quick and subtle.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

The list of pieces is not extensive and I can cater for any requirements you have, to ensure your event is bespoke.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes absolutely, nothing for you to organise whatsoever. I have a top of the range Bose Pro L16 speaker which is able to provide an excellent sound for intimate ceremonies right up to large dining and drinks receptions.
