Laura Heathcote

Having played at over 300 weddings successfully as a soloist/in a quartet - Laura is one of the UK’s top wedding violinists. Laura can play acoustic violin, acoustic amped violin with backing, or a top of the range, eye catching LED light up (many colours!) Aurora violin - specially made in Brazil. Laura has top of the range Bose equipment that can cater for small ceremonies up to 300-400 guest small festivals! Gaining a degree in violin performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama after finishing junior studies at the Royal College of Music, as a scholar Laura is a freelance violinist and teacher in the southern region. Early education includes a scholar at the international Pro Corda chamber training, a member of various county and youth orchestras, of whom she performed solos with and led. Since graduating, Laura has performed many recitals, including touring Holland with the SYCO performing the a Bruch violin concerto, performing for worldwide TV adverts, for United Nations Summits and for the priminister at No.10 Downing Street. Laura teaches at Sidcot day and boarding school, Chilton Cantelo day and boarding school, Bristol Music Trust, various state schools and for Exmouth Community college, as well as a private teaching practice with over 20 students, who some have gained places to specialist music schools and prestigious children's orchestras. Laura performs regularly as a freelance with professional orchestras and as part of string quartets for weddings and corporate functions.
