London
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Latimo are an experienced wedding and function band featuring blistering vocals and a full horn section. As well as a host of weddings and parties, Latimo have played a variety of pubs and clubs throughout London such as the 229 Club, Nambucca and The Enterprise as well as the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, The Boisdale of Canary Wharf, The Hippodrome in Leicester Square and Streatham Hideaway Jazz Club. Every cover has been carefully rearranged to maximise it's impact, reworking classic party tunes into huge, funky tributes to great artists maintaining the pop flavour whilst adding sickeningly virtuosic guitar solos, blistering horn solis and just damn good singing. Above all Latimo tries to capture the grooves that made them want to be musicians in the first place, so whether you come for the gorgeous vocals, intricate horn solis or infectious rhythms you will definitely be tapping your feet in no time. If you want something a bit different to impress your friends then Latimo is the band for you!

Latimo played at our son’s wedding recently. They were amazing. One of the best live party bands we have ever heard. From the “First Dance” to the last song the dance floor was never empty. The music was so professional with a song selection that suited the range of ages. The vocals were incredible and the music crisp. So many guests have commented that it was the best wedding band they have ever heard and it is true. We would throughly recommend Latimo for any wedding or party.

Nick and the band were one of our best decisions of the wedding - we went for the full 8-piece including Nick and a sax for the reception first. Great set list, super talented, full dancefloor. They helped customise two special songs for us that we will definitely remember forever.

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. Even if it isn't Katie singing we promise that the singer will definitely be brilliant!

Do you have different line-up options?

Latimo's unique arrangements of classic tunes works as an 8 piece band - you wouldn't want it any smaller! We do offer smaller 2 or 3 piece jazz ensembles for earlier in the day for receptions etc.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Then we work to them. Weddings have a lot of moving parts and we understand that timings sometimes need to change. We generally try to keep an open and relatively continuous dialogue to keep you happy with timings so just say.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Definitely. If you would like us to keep the PA set up for an hour or two after the set then we can come to a separate arrangement with that.

How much time do you need to set up?

This is always dependent on the format of the wedding. Ideally we would have an hour and a half to two hours minimum to set up and sound check etc but this doesn't always fit the timings. It gets sorted either way.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Sure. There are certain staple tunes that work on nearly every crowd which we would be unwilling to part with - this isn't our first rodeo! However, if you have particular preferences or any strong musical hatreds then we'll definitely listen... unless the latter is Robbie Williams. Robbie stays.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, unless you want it all for a much longer time than the band set. Again, this can be discussed closer to the time.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. We are an 8 piece band though and the arrangements we generally do can often strongly differ from the original. This means that we do charge extra for specific requests which accounts for arranging time, copying the scores, rehearsal and the performance.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

It's big, loud and cool; Tunes that you have heard a thousand times played in often very different ways. We work to a 'more is more' mindset which means that there isn't anything subtle about Latimo but it will do good things to your dance floor.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Well. Quite a few. Loads of wedding venues, swanky and otherwise. We've done Cheltenham Jazz Festival the last four years in a row, The Pheasantry in Chelsea(X3) the 229 club, Hideaway Streatham, Off The Cuff, The Boisdale of Canary Wharf (X4), the Hippodrome in Leicester Square and countless pubs and clubs, generally less swanky, more otherwise.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Stevie Wonder, The Cat Empire, Trombone Shorty, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Tower of Power, Busty and the Bass, Caravan Palace etc.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We're not at liberty to divulge that information.
