A young musician from Somerset, Kim Foster studied music at Wells Cathedral School where she was a Music Specialist for 7 years. She then received places at all of her conservatoire applications before deciding to study at the Royal College of Music where she is now in her third year studying with David Hockings, Matt Perry, Ralph Salmins and She-e Wu. She has performed in master classes with Chris Ridley, She-e Wu, Jasmine Colberg, Nebosja Zivkovic, Andy Barclay and has had lessons with the timpanist and principal percussionist of the New York Philharmonic. She is currently a music teacher with the Music House for Children and Berkshire Music Maestros where she works with Andy Leask. A keen musician with a passion for all types of music, recently performing at the Austrian Cultural Forum a concert of contemporary pieces and with the Royal College of Musics Philharmonic Orchestra playing Timpani in Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony.
