About Kieran agus Peneleapaí

Acoustic duo with heart power Unique personal and professional presence. Classical, traditional, folk, originals, covers, rock, pop, etc.
Acoustic duo
Ireland/UK

Kieran agus Peneleapaí began collaborating together in the spring of 2011. Peneleapaí is based in Ireland, and Kieran was also based in the area until 2014 (when a return to England was called for), and is now currently based in Bristol. They continue to meet regularly both in Ireland and in U.K. During the years they were both in Ireland, the duo attracted a number of wide ranging performances, from local music clubs, to festivals, to community farewells, grand openings, and house concerts from NYC to Budapest to the west coast of Ireland. Some gigs in the past include opening for John Spillane (October 2011), playing support to Damien Dempsey (August 2013), and also opening for world famous flamenco maestro Eduardo Niebla. Peneleapaí during those years was also in the rock/funk band "Torq" (Eoin Delaney), and fronted the band which Kieran also played in, "Good Medicine", along with two percussion players. On Kieran's return to England, he formed one half the guitar duo Rookeries (Finn Evans being the other half), a classical/original acoustic guitar fusion experience. Despite being based on separate islands, the duo through the ensuing years (2015-present) managed to find overlapping musical creation still a big part of their work (and play!) together. Both Kieran and Peneleapaí have matching passion for participating in ceremony, whether it be wedding, funeral, proposal, church, or forest. They also have their share of birthday celebrations in pubs performed, being welcomed back repeatedly, and they look forward to being of service to help enhance the special turning points of our lives with song and music. Kieran is looking forward to commencing study in Music Therapy with Tonalis Centre, U.K. Peneleapaí continues to facilitate individuals and groups to access the unique power of voice and silence within each of us in workshop, retreat, gatherings, and classes. Both the lad and lass compose and openly collaborate regularly.
