Kavi Maraj

Having started by playing classical violin as a child before moving on to the drums, then guitar and finally landing on bass, I have a versatile skillset and experience of many genres. Over the years I have played classical music, metal, pop, country, reggae and more, and I now specialise mainly in jazz fusion. Since finishing school I have worked as a full time session musician in London and during that time I have played in venues such as Ronnie Scott's, the Roundhouse and Manchester Academy 2, as well as festivals such as Love Supreme and We Out Here. I have lots of experience in function settings, having played many weddings and parties over the last few years and am comfortable whether being asked to learn covers or to improvise an entire set. I am a fast and diligent learner of music and can easily pick things up on the fly, which allows me to take on work as it comes with little worry on the part of the employer.
