I am based in West Yorkshire. I trained at the London School of Musical Theatre, and lived and worked in London before moving back up North. I have been performing as a soloist professionally for over 15 years. During this time I have performed at a variety of venues and events, and was the winner of numerous awards and competitions. I love performing at weddings and private events, and have also performed at corporate events, outdoor festivals, hotels, cabaret evenings, golf clubs and various others. As well as my solo work, I also perform in a Motown trio, a four-piece vocal group, and in care homes. I have worked as a Lead Vocalist for P&O Cruises for a number of years. I have worked on various different ships where I had to learn and perform 11 different shows, as well as my own cabaret. I have also had various theatre roles, my favoure being singing at the West End Heroes charity concert in London, alongside Marti Pellow and Michael Ball. I can perform a wide variety of music genres and themes, and am more than happy to personalise my set list to suit any event. My shows are always professional, not only the performance side, but also with costumes and quality tracks.

We had a truly fantastic night with Katy, she helped us bring a great playlist together and performed all the songs brilliantly. All our guests (60 birthday party ages 25-87) thought she was wonderful and her voice suited all the songs we chose. We would certainly recommend Katy to all our family and friends whatever function they were organising. Katy along with some excellent caterers made our night so special and it really felt like she was as invested in making it as much of a success as we were. Thanks very much Chris and Jayne.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I can perform a wide variety of songs and styles, and will adjust my singing style to reflect this. I always try to choose songs that I think the majority of the audience/guests will know, which guarantees I will have people singing and dancing along. I am friendly and approachable, and will always try and make your event as special as possible.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed in a wide variety of venues over the years, including hotels, pubs and clubs, outdoor festivals. Some notable places include: P&O Azura Cruise Ship Southampton Pride Event Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel Mottram Hall, Cheshire Bolton Castle New Dock Hall, Leeds Capri @ The Vine Restaurant, Wakefield Ossett Town Hall UK Cruise Awards

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My two main influences are Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. I think their voices are incredible and the emotion they can invoke through song is amazing.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The UK Cruise Awards was quite a high profile gig as it was a big annual event, and the venue was the Roundhouse Theatre in London which was amazing. I've also performed at the Dominion Theatre in London for a charity event, where I got to sing backing vocals for Michael Ball. I have also done a private performance (with others) for Gary Barlow.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to be flexible with timings to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If any of the timings need to change before the event, just get in touch and we can discuss this in detail.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can absolutely provide an Ipod/DJ service before and between my sets at no extra charge. I can try and cater this to fit in with your theme or can play a general mix of music - obviously this can be discussed further. I can also offer this service after my final set up until the venue closes, but this will incur an extra charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

I will obviously need to be set up before any guests arrive, and I like to have at least 45 minutes to do this and have a thorough soundcheck. This means I will usually arrive around 1 hour/1.25 hours before the guests are due to arrive, so I have plenty of time. Once I am set up, I can put on a playlist to start creating an atmosphere for people arriving.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists have been created over many years of gigging and seeing what audiences react to best, and I always try to include songs I think everyone will know. I am of course happy to chat through any set lists and make changes where needed, and of course will try to include your favourite songs.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes of course! I bring a full PA system and microphone, and all my music is played through a laptop/iPad.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in the standard set list sent to you, there is still a good chance that I will know it, so please always ask. If there are any specific songs you would like me to learn, I am happy to learn up to 3 free of charge (providing I have enough notice before the event to do so), any more than this will incur an extra charge.
