Josh is an experienced clarinettist who plays a wide range of repertoire but specialises in contemporary chamber music.
He is a member of the Chimera Ensemble, principle clarinettist of the University of York Symphony Orchestra, and is part of the Hindemith Quartet (York based Violin-Clarinet-Cello-Piano quartet).
He is currently working towards his final recital in May 2017 as well as The Chimera Ensemble's spring 2017 concert and UYSOs spring 2017 concert. The Hindemith Quartet are working towards a concert in June that features as part of the York Concerts.
Josh is also a member of 5-part folk band Rambler's Gate. Formed in 2014 by four music students and an experience fiddle player, Rambler's Gate have played at numerous festivals in and around York including the York City Folk Festival, Oxjam York, York Spring Festival of New Music, Malton Food Festival, as well as at gigs in local venues such as Fossgate Social, The Nook, The Hole in the Wall. They present the combination of flute, recorder, fiddle, guitar, and bodhran and are available for gigs and ceilidhs!
