“My dad refused to teach me piano, SO I SAID FINE, AND TAUGHT MYSELF.” Josh Kerwin isn’t your average performer. His punchy self taught piano blends with sturdy trained vocals to produce something unique. Josh grew up in rural Indiana on a diet of Bruce Springsteen and The Who, but really found his love for music with the discovery of Ben Folds. Josh chose to pursue playing piano and started writing almost immediately after. That was back in 2009. Since then, Josh has gone on to win collegiate talent competitions, battle of the bands, and fan-favorite in songwriting contests. Josh has spent the last 6 years playing and performing professionally around SW Florida at everywhere from bars to charity balls. No event is complete without the live music of Josh Kerwin! Josh is exactly what SWFL needed! He is beyond talented and has a way to get the 8 year olds and 80 year olds up and dancing! He reads the room and provides an unparalleled energy for any occasion. He is our top choice for entertainment for our restaurant group. No matter the size of your function, event, or establishment… the ones in the back will enjoy his music just as much as the ones sitting closest to him!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

People tend to love my ability to work with my audience; talking and making jokes throughout the performance. It's not just music, it's a show.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've played at countless bars and country clubs across not only SW Florida, but the United States and now the UK.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My biggest influences would have to be John Mayer, The Beatles, and Coldplay.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I've mostly done your average bar gigs and country clubs, but I did win quite a large battle of the bands playing as a solo act.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as my PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for my live performance!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
