Joe Hibbs is a 30 year old violinist. fiddler and violist who regularly plays in orchestras and other ensembles throughout the North-East of Scotland. More frequently, Joe plays with locally acclaimed Reel of Fortune Ceilidh Band, who play at many events throughout the year from wedding receptions to student balls and corporate functions. Joe has recently played more solo engagements by providing Scottish fiddle music for wedding ceremonies, University graduations and other functions. Joe is also able to arrange small chamber groups such as duos, trios and quartets which are ideal for adding the finishing touch to any event.

Joe learned 3 new songs that we requested and played them perfectly. He communicated well prior to the ceremony and arrived nice and early to set up. Afterwards he entertained the crowd at the reception. Highly recommend.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

These things happen! I'm happy to negotiate on timings in the run up to the event and on the day itself.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes.

How much time do you need to set up?

I can set up in around 15 minutes for 'plugged in' performances, or 5 minutes for acoustic.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course, as long as I have adequate time to do so! Send over requests three weeks before and I'll see what I can do.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Energy, extensive knowledge of repertoire, friendliness.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

For solo engagements, I have played at Elphinstone Hall, Marcliffe Hotel, and many private residences around Aberdeen.
