Jordan is currently studying as a master's student in Physics and Philosophy at Balliol College, Oxford.
He started learning the classical guitar and violin at the age of 7. A year on, he joined the Isle of Wight Music Centre (comprised of orchestras of varying standard), and was invited to its flagship orchestra, the Isle of Wight Youth Orchestra, at the age of 12. Four years later, he took up the position of leader whilst self-tutoring the viola and subsequently stepped down to take up the position of lead viola. He frequently returns to the orchestra as a guest performer. Early in 2013 he was invited to join the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra as a 1st Violin. He has played in a number of ensembles during his time at Oxford University, and currently leads the Oxford University String Ensemble.
Having studied guitar under John Nash of Ventnor for 14 years, Jordan has been involved in various solo recitals and competitions, winning 6 classes and a main competition at county level. He often composes on the guitar, with recent works exploring novel tunings and unexplored harmonic soundscapes.
Alongside his guitar pieces, Jordan has also composed a symphony, a number of symphonic poems and a set of piano studies.
He also has experience at directing ensembles, having conducted the Sandown String Orchestra, Sandown Concert Band and Newchurch Primary School Choir on the Isle of Wight.
