Jodie Austen

I booked Jodie for a monthly acoustic session back in December and was delighted with my decision to do so! Her set was fantastic - such a brilliant songwriter and she is very personable with the audience. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve booked her since then and put her forward for other shows as well! Always a pleasure to see perform!

Jodie Austen is a talented singer/songwriter who has been performing at our weekly open mic at The Golden Lion in Bishopston, Bristol. Her emotionally engaging performances and captivating voice quickly made her a crowd favorite. After receiving numerous requests for more of her music, we decided to give her one of our Sunday afternoon slots, where we showcase the best singer/songwriters from Bristol and beyond. The gig was a resounding success, with many of the open mic regulars showing up eager to see Jodie perform a full hour. She did not disappoint! Jodie is a natural performer with great stage presence and an ability to effortlessly translate emotion from the stage to the audience. Jodie is a must see for anyone who is a fan of Laura Marling, Joni Mitchel and Gillian Welch.
