Jessie Murphy

Jess regularly tours with Sophie Ellis Bextor, Michael Bublé and Jeff Lynne’s ELO. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music and is highly versatile performer both onstage and as a session musician, equally at home playing for an intimate wedding, the Albert Hall, The National Theatre or Glastonbury Festival. Jess has also performed live with Fontaines D.C. Kano, Kasabian, Muse, Ceelo Green, The Libertines, The Feeling, Paloma Faith, Roger Daltry, Carl Barat, Joy Crookes, Steve Mason, Ricky Wilson, Josh Grobin, Brett Anderson, Gas Coombes, Gary Kemp, Beverly Knight, Marc Almond, Natalie Imbruglia and Betsy. Jess has also played for many theatre productions in the West End, National Theatre and The Globe, including War Horse, Macbeth and Amadeus. She has recorded for a wide range of artists including Primal Scream, Kano, Joy Crookes, The Feeling, Paloma Faith, Hugh Cornwell, Placebo, The Magic Numbers, Carl Barat, Kano, Ellie Goulding. She recorded solo violin for Christian Henson’s scores for Black Death and Grabbers and George Fenton's scores for Alan Bennett’s Allelujah at the Bridge Theatre, Cold Pursuit and the Palme d'Or winning I Daniel Blake. Jess has a an extensive repertoire of Classical, Jazz, Rock, Indie & Pop, on both acoustic and electric violin and is always delighted to play specific requests outside of her list. Jess is part of the Paradiso Violin Duo, and the Caccini Violin & Cello Duo.
