Through their study of contemporary music at JMC Academy, South Brisbane, Jess Bennett and Isabel Yamazaki fostered a strong musical connection, propelling them to launch their musical career as performance duo, ‘Jess and Izzy’ – based in Brisbane and Gold Coast, QLD. Each qualified with a Bachelor of Music, they have a strong foundation of musical expertise, having received mentorship from outstanding industry professionals. Jess and Izzy’s song writing style is spellbinding and introspective, infused with the acoustic sounds of Folk music and the raw and connected energy of Indie-Pop. Their vocals blend seamlessly, warm and rich, complemented by soaring harmonies. Accompanied by piano and guitar, this music duo will transport listeners through exploration of deep and genuine emotion, steered by their passion for story-telling, composing and performing. The pair have performed at a range of incredible Brisbane venues including The Triffid, The Tivoli, The Zoo and The Charming Squire.
