Jay is a baritone who sings Classical, Musical Theatre, Swing and some Pop.

Jay has just finished studying singing. Jay performed in many musicals in the Hampshire area. For seven years, he was a member of Dynamo Youth Theatre, in Havant, where he played such roles as Officer Krupke in ‘West Side Story’, Sergeant of Police in ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ and Javert in ‘Les Miserables’. During his time at Dynamo he was also musical director for their production of ‘The Button Box’ and concerts performed in aid of the Mayor of Havant’s charities. Jay has also had the opportunity to originate roles in two new musicals. The first being ‘Bombed Out’ by John Gleadall, which was staged at Chichester Festival Theatre, and the second, ‘Sweet FA’ by Domonic Symonds, which was a professional/amateur production performed at the New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth. Jay is no stranger to winning awards for his singing. At the Portsmouth Musical Festival in 2008 he was awarded ‘The Chairman’s Cup’ for his performance of ‘Ol’ Man River’ and he was also the inaugural recipient of The Lamont Young Person of the Year Award for his contribution to singing. When Jay hopes to pursue a career as an opera singer.
