Jamie Smith was born in Wales and whilst still at school studied part-time at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He later read music at the University of Oxford, and went on to complete a Masters degree at the National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music in Ukraine, graduating with a Distinction in Piano Performance. During his studies he was awarded numerous awards and scholarships to participate in master classes both in the UK and overseas, and also won prizes at International Piano Competitions. Jamie has worked as a lecturer and pianist internationally, and has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many concert halls worldwide.
