Since then I have been working as a freelance pianist, accompanist and teacher in Edinburgh and the surrounding area. I'm an experienced pit musician having played in and directed many musical theatre productions. I play in concerts ranging from classical to jazz, accompany multiple choirs and soloists and also play for wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions.

Jamie made our wedding ceremony so special by playing our very specific requested music. We are two brides and we had asked for each bridesmaid and both of us to come down to different pieces of music and Jamie managed to prepare an arrangement that flowed so beautifully. He captured the exact essence of how we wanted our ceremony to sound and he even adapted following some minor changes we wanted to make from a clip he sent us.

The American choral director was delighted to have Jamie as his accompanist for the two concerts his choir gave in Edinburgh. He praised Jamie's skill and musicality in working with an unknown choir and unfamiliar repertoire. It helped that Jamie agreed to zoom with the director before he left North Carolina for Scotland. If you are looking for a skilled professional pianist, then look no further, Jamie is the one for you

There is a maturity, warmth of tone and engaging flair here which flow from his jazz tradition but do not disturb the finer classical line. An Edinburgh fringe audience was in raptures. Watch out.

Liddell’s warm clarity and Lang’s perceptively adroit keyboard are a combination worth looking out for.
