We are a Nottingham based musical duo, performing Jazz and popular music. We are both experienced performers, both individually and together and have fronted numerous Jazz and Big Bands. We are both studying Music at the University of Nottingham, majoring in voice and Jacob is a freelance singing Pianist, so is an experienced accompanist. We would be delighted to perform for your event, be that weddings, private parties or any other function. We will work with you to help create a special occasion based around your wishes.

As Events & Activities officer for the Residential Experience team at the University of Nottingham, I have been fortunate enough to hire Lucy and her "breakaway" band. The band were incredible created a really amazing relaxed jazzz vibe with Lucy providing the lead vocals, sublime scintillating and seductive. They are incredibly professional really easy to work with and enthusiastic. Their musicality and vocals are amazing. They performed at the Queens Patinum jubilee picnic on the downs where they performed infront of nearly 3000 students. They then performed at three end of term BBQs brilliant and really happy with their performances and Lucy is a dream to work with.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our typical line up is a Piano and Vocals Acoustic Duo, however we are also part of a small 5-piece Jazz band and can offer a smaller ensemble of Piano, Vocals, Drums, Saxophone and Trumpet.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are very flexible with timings and will work around your needs. If timings do slightly change in the run up to an event, just let us know!

How much time do you need to set up?

We would usually like to set up around 45 minutes before an event starts, to ensure enough time however if the venue won't allow for us to set up that early for whatever reason, we can be set up in around 15 minutes.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If you have any song requests for your event, we are happy to learn these for you.
