Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients value the seamless, uninterrupted flow of my sets, which maintain a sophisticated atmosphere without the need for breaks. They often highlight the professional curation of my 700+ song repertoire and the high-end, polished sound I bring to discerning spaces. Above all, they appreciate a reliable, elite experience that elevates the room.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I was the long-standing resident pianist for elite Algarve destinations, including Quinta do Lago, Vila Lara, and Vila Sol. My experience extends to high-end establishments across Portugal, Spain, France, and other European countries, where I specialize in providing a sophisticated musical backdrop for discerning international audiences.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My style is shaped by the songwriting and melodic depth of classic piano-rock. I am heavily influenced by the arrangements of Elton John and Billy Joel, alongside the iconic sound of Supertramp, the Eagles, and Bob Seger. These influences help me blend rock energy with a polished approach that fits perfectly in any high-end room.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have performed for three European royal houses and in several times for world high diplomatic circles. My residencies have been attended by icons like Eric Clapton and the White Stripes. Notably, I was personally hired by Sir Bobby Robson to provide the music for his own golf tournament on three separate occasions.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I only accept one booking per day to ensure full focus on your event. If your schedule shifts on the day, I am happy to discuss adjustments. Date changes are subject to availability. While I aim for flexibility, last-minute changes that cannot be accommodated may incur a booking fee. I am always open to discussing the best solution for your itinerary.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I typically perform for at least 2 hours without breaks to maintain the momentum of the event. However, if a pause is required, I can provide curated ambient music to sustain the atmosphere. Please note this is not a live DJ set. To maintain the professional integrity of the performance, I do not allow guests to connect devices or select tracks.

How much time do you need to set up?

Standard setup time is 45 to 60 minutes. This allows for the professional installation of my piano and audio system. This timeframe may vary based on specific venue requirements or the ease of access to the performance area.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

I am happy to perform on a resident piano provided it is professionally tuned. I can provide a fully acoustic set; however, as a pianist and vocalist, amplification is always required for the voice to ensure the best audio balance for your guests.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, but to maintain the professional flow and atmosphere of the event, I curate the setlist specifically for the venue's energy. While I am happy to take requests from the host, I do not take spontaneous requests from guests. This ensures the music remains sophisticated and aligned with your vision for the day.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, I perform on a Yamaha CP88. To maintain the event's quality and flow, I do not allow guests to use the piano, join for vocals, or approach the equipment with drinks. While I carry full PLI, equipment damage caused by guest interference is the host's responsibility. These standards ensure a premium, uninterrupted experience for your guests.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

With a repertoire of 700+ songs, I primarily perform from my curated library. While I do not typically learn new material, I am open to discussing one "special" song if it can be professionally adapted to my sophisticated piano-rock style. This is at my discretion and requires ample notice to ensure a high-quality arrangement.
