JOY ALARM is the Swiss Army Knife of DJs — a multi-genre multi-tool with over 20 years’ experience lighting up dancefloors across the UK and Europe. From intimate weddings to full-throttle festivals and Berlin warehouse raves, he’s the tune-charmer chameleon who knows exactly how to deliver the perfect set, every time. He doesn’t just read the room — he rewrites it. You may have seen him at Glastonbury, where he’s played every year for the past decade — spinning sets from tiny tents to huge stages at 2am. Or maybe you caught him at Boomtown, Bestival, Isle of Wight Festival, or one of the many other events he’s popped up at over the last two decades. His reputation for high-energy, feel-good sets has earned him a loyal following and a steady stream of bookings from clients who want more than just a playlist — they want a party started, extended, and finished with panache. Whether he’s dropping 70s classics at an afterparty at The Roundhouse in Camden (with Martin Scorsese and Cillian Murphy in attendance), or laying down sub-heavy rhythms at a rave for deaf dancers on a specially designed vibrating dancefloor, JOY ALARM always finds the right vibe. No matter the crowd, no matter the occasion — he brings the energy, the empathy, and the tunes. His open-format style means no genre is off-limits. He’s played hundreds of events — private parties, club nights, weddings, festivals — always bringing seamless transitions, infectious energy, and a deep crate of crowd-pleasers and forgotten gems. You want a special request? Just try him… “90s and 00s Club Classics?” He’s got all the hits — plus the deep cuts you forgot you ever knew. “Old Skool Hip Hop and RnB?” Ok, now Let Me Blow Ya Mind 🤯 “New style Latin and Afro Tech House all night long?” “Si, si, amigos y amigas!” “Got any Jungle in, guy?” He’s got the Tarzan and Jane of Jungle just swung in on the vine. “Indie anthems?” It’s Hard To Explain how many he has. “Bet you won’t play any 80s pop hits?” Of course! Come on, show A Little Respect. “No way you’re gonna give me cheesy nineties pop hits though?” *laughs in autotune* “Can we have a bit of Garage?” *rubs hands together and rolls up sleeves* “Drum n Bass remixes of all of the above with drops so filthy they need hosing down?” For days, mate. For days. Enough for a three-day weekender, in fact. And so much more … JOY ALARM brings high energy and good vibes to every event — whether it’s a wedding with three generations on the dancefloor, a family rave full of confetti cannons and bubbles, or a 40th birthday that needs a rocket up its Mr Brightside. He’s versatile, professional, and always up for the challenge. He’s fully equipped with a professional sound system, lighting options, silent disco setup, and backup gear — and he’s happy to travel. Every booking includes an optional pre-event consultation to make sure the vibe is spot-on, and he’s known for being friendly, reliable, and easy to work with. He’s more than just a DJ — he’s your party’s secret weapon. So if you want a genre-hopping mood magician who keeps the energy sky-high, and turns your event into the kind of night your guests talk about for years … JOY ALARM is your guy.

‘Liam has DJ’d for me a number of times and it’s no exaggeration to say that he absolutely makes the night. Everyone. Loves. Liam. The music is amazing, his mixing is seamless. He knows how to manage the crowd’s energy perfectly. He is incredibly professional, always arrives early and sets up with no fuss. His nights are sought after in molesey and he’s rapidly becoming very well known as the DJ to book for a celebration. Get him before he’s booked up!’ - Katie - East Molesey

“JOY ALARM was absolutely brilliant at my 40th. We had a mix of ages — from twenty-somethings to grandparents — and somehow he managed to get everyone dancing. The transitions were flawless, and the energy was constantly high. Later in the evening, he played some drum and bass remixes of 90s hits that had the whole room bouncing; it was pure controlled chaos in the middle of my living room! People were messaging me for days after saying it was the best party they’ve been to in years. A number of my guests have booked him since, and I’ll certainly be giving him a call for my next party.” Emma - Kingston Upon Thames

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

High energy, flexibility, and genuinely having the time of my life every time I’m behind the decks!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Glastonbury, Isle Of Wight Festival, Boomtown, Camp Bestival, Camden Roundhouse, Scala, The Coronet London, Lakota Bristol, Clapham Grand, Electric Brixton, Proud Camden, Astra Berlin, Northside Festival Denmark, Century Club Soho (resident), Oval Space, Islington Town Hall.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try to be as flexible as possible - just let me know what you need and I will do my best to accommodate.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, I have extensive playlists for many genres of music downloaded to my device just for this purpose.

How much time do you need to set up?

My minimum set up time is one hour, but I’m much prefer to arrive earlier and spend two hours or more making sure everything is just right.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely! One question I always ask is “please give me 5/10 you would definitely like to hear me play, plus 2/3 you definitely don’t want to hear.” This helps me build a picture of what your taste is like, and sparks up the library in my head … “If they like x then they’ll love y and z!”

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I can provide everything needed.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am always open to new ideas! Please let me know with plenty of time, and I will try to include all your favourites.
