“If anyone would like an absolute stomping hot string quartet for their rock party, get in touch with the JEZT Quartet.”
 - Robert Fripp, King Crimson JEZT Quartet is a Birmingham-based string quartet formed by four graduates of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire: Tehya Dawson (violin), Zinnia Smart (violin), Erin Vinter (viola) and Jake Ryan (cello). The quartet came together through a shared passion for chamber music and a desire to bring the versatility of the string quartet to a wide range of audiences. With a repertoire spanning classical, folk and popular music, JEZT Quartet creates engaging programmes that showcase the versatility of the string quartet. The ensemble specialises in imaginative arrangements of popular music, while also performing classical repertoire and bespoke arrangements tailored to individual events and audiences. Their performances combine the precision and musicianship of a classically trained ensemble with a fresh and contemporary approach. The quartet has performed at a wide range of high-profile events and venues across Birmingham. Most notably, they performed Black Sabbath’s Paranoid for Tony Iommi MBE, guitarist and founding member of Black Sabbath, accompanying him on stage as he walked out at An Evening with Tony Iommi. They have also performed for Joe Lycett’s International Day of Birmingham, at the Ozzy Osbourne exhibition at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, worked with Louis Clark Jr. on the Carl Wayne Project, and performed alongside members of ELO. “They were amazing, they were fabulous.”
 - Toyah Willcox
