Ruby Tunes is the Mobile Disco run by Ian Sawyer, resident DJ at Moles Club's "The Big Cheese", Bath's longest running club night, along with appearances at Motorcity (Bristol, London and Oxford) and Crash (Oxford). Recently I have been regularly DJing the popular daytime club events Studio 38 at Popworld in Bristol and Daytime Disco at Komedia in Bath. I am one of the Recommended Suppliers for Bath's Historic Venues which includes the world famous Roman Baths, Pump Rooms and Assembly Rooms. I have also performed at many local venues and in the past few years have had bookings at the likes of Chepstow Racecourse, Clevedon Hall, Coombe Lodge in Blagdon, Cumberwell Park in Bradford-On-Avon, Beechfield House in Beanacre, Orchardleigh House near Frome, Cadbury House Hotel in Bristol and Priston Mill among others.

A natural professional who absolutely made our wedding day. I cannot recommend Ian enough, he had everyone of all ages up and dancing, our dance floor was packed from the first dance to the very last song. If you are struggling to decide, or sitting on the fence, then just trust me, this is your guy.

Thanks Ian. Everyone who came was on the dance floor at some point whether 18 or 80! Ian was really flexible with his play list and responded to what was wanted at the time. Communication was very efficient and swift throughout. Would use again and would definitely recommend

Ian did an absolutely incredible job at our wedding. From the very start, his energy, professionalism, and attention to detail set the tone for what became an unforgettable night. His introduction for us, perfectly timed with the music we had chosen, was exactly how we imagine it and he somehow made it feel even more special in the moment. We also truly appreciated how seamlessly he catered to our playlists while still accommodating guest requests throughout the evening. The way he read the room, kept the dance floor full, and created such a joyful atmosphere was nothing short of masterful. It’s clear he has a real talent for not only playing music but also creating memories through it. Thanks to his exceptional skill and dedication, our wedding reception was everything we hoped it would be and more. Couldn't fault Ian one bit. Turned up at the agreed time, despite us running behind, he made up for lost time getting his set up sorted super quick and started the party. Read the room well and kept it busy all night long! Can't recommend him enough.

Ian was a fantastic DJ for our staff party! He got everyone onto the dancefloor, and chose a fantastic playlist based off of our suggestions and requests. We had a few restrictions due to the venue and he dealt with them with ease and professionalism, ensuring that we still were able to have a fantastic time! Would thoroughly recommend and will certainly keep his details for any future events!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My enthusiasm, my receptiveness to requests and ability to blend genres to try and cater for everyone in the audience.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably supporting Sigala at Bath Spa University's Summer Ball in 2022

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Not a problem - if your initial timings have changed just contact me to let me know so I can adjust my arrival time to ensure I am set up before the event begins.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually require around 60-90 minutes to get all my equipment loaded in and set up. Ease of access to the venue and function room along with other factors such as stairs or lifts need to be taken into consideration also as this can impact on the time it requires me to set everything up - I'm a sole operator and load everything in myself.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I have a music spreadsheet containing over 15,000 which I send to all my clients on booking which you can use as inspiration for any requests you'd like to make. I'm happy to play from a playlist that you provide or to go with the flow and take requests during the event, we can discuss particular music choices leading up to the event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring all my own sound and lighting equipment, pictures and videos of which are available if you'd like to see them in action from other events.
