Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'm able to offer a flexible service. I've performed all over the world and at all types of functions so I know occasionally, or even usually, things don't always go to plan.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I certainly can, bring some wires though just in case. This is free of charge throughout the booking period. So, for example, if I'm booked from 8 until 11 pm, there'll be no charge for an iPod service during that time. If you require it for longer than the booking period. we can make arrangements for a small extra fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

For an acoustic performance, 30 minutes should be fine. If there are special load in considerations, such as a very long distance from vehicle to performance room, this may increase fractionally.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes you can. These pieces are only a selection I do from a much larger list which is available on request. Should you have requests of your own, just ask. I love a challenge.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I'm fully inclusive carrying instruments, PA, lights, microphones, and wires.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes I can. I've performed at countless weddings as Northern Vinyl/Gig Machine's vocalist and sung many first dance requests. Below are some examples: Everlong: The Foo Fighters You Do Something To Me/Pretty Flamingo: Paul Weller Thinking Out Loud Ed Sheeran Grow Old With Me Tom Odell Sweet Caroline Neil Diamond In My Life The Beatles It Must Be Love Madness

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Good energy, and good interaction with the crowd

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

All over the world, several city halls and festivals in the UK including Glastonbury. Corporate work in london hotels, S S Great Britain, and wedding/party venues across the country

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Love it all ! Pop, Rock,Jazz, Reggae you name it

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

With the Pink Floyd Tribute we performed to several thousands of people in Central America, Ukraine, Russia,Latvia, and Portugal. Two performances at Glastonbury, one witnessed by the legend John Peel. Some big corporate shows at the ExCel Complex, London spring to mind, but there s loads of others.

My 70th birthday party was a great evening made fantastic by Ian's band! They were great in every way. They arrived in plenty of time, setup quickly and efficiently and then the great music began! Beforehand Ian asked me for a list of the kind of music I liked and they played lots of my favorites and added in plenty for the younger partygoers too. Ian worked the crowd brilliantly and got us all dancing. We had a terrific time and I certainly totally forgot about my creaking 70 year old joints! I can wholeheartedly recommend Ian's band.
