Experienced Bagpiper that has played in many high profile events. My piping has taken me across Europe for competing and ceremonial events.

I am the Former Pipe Major of the Edinburgh Academy Pipe band. My piping throughout school where I started at 9 years old, has allowed me to play at many events. For example, I played at the funeral of one of the last spitfire pilots, centenary to mark the end of WW1,I also played for the Duke and Duchesse of Cambridge at the Beating Retreat. A keen competitor where I have been placed in the Scottish schools competition and won the Dress and Deportment competition I am looking to join a grade 2 Pipe Band in Aberdeen for when I am at university. All of these events/ experiences will ensure a great performance which will leave you satisfied!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My previous clients have enjoyed my performances as i am always dressed in the appropriate manner for the occasion. I also play my pipes often and look after them very well which results in a lovely sounding set of pipes.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Menin Gate, Edinburgh Castle, Balmoral Hotel, Fife Arms Hotel, Holyrood Park, Loose Memorial, and many other venues.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Stuart Liddle is a piper from Oban and is the Pipe Major of Inverary and District Pipe Band. I take great influence from his clean fingering on the chanter.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

100th centenary of the 1st World War in October 2018. This was performed live in front of thousands. I did a collaboration with the military band playing Highland Cathedral

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I am fairly flexible and as long as there are a couple weeks notice, ill do my best to ensure it will work.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

sadly, i will not be able to do this.

How much time do you need to set up?

usually, i need about 30 minutes to get ready and ensure my pipes are sounding well for the performance.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

of course any pieces of music which are listed can be picked by you for your event. Any other tunes which you want that are not on the list, please do ask!!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

All equipment needed for the performance i will have.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

of course! normally, it takes me a few days to be able to learn a tune. so again, as long as there is enough notice, id be more than willing to learn some new tunes
