Our carefully curated setlist of hit songs from the 60s and 70s has been meticulously designed to get your dance floor rocking. With timeless classics by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, and many more, we’ll help make your event unforgettable! Expect powerful vocals, red-hot guitar solos and funky grooves to get the party started. Hire Groove Jacks for your event and you can expect a high-quality, professional band who will go the extra mile to tailor their performance to your specific needs and requirements, ensuring your event runs as smoothly as possible. A typical performance might look like: 2 sets of 45 minutes with a 15 minute break in-between, plus encores. Other variations include: 3 sets of 45 minutes, or one 75 minute performance. Included in our service is background music through the PA before, in-between and after our sets (either let our playlist run or plug in your own iPhone/iPod/iPad). We provide a full P.A. sound and lighting set-up for the show. All of our equipment is PAT-tested and we carry £1m Public Liability Insurance. All we need from you on the day is access to power, a space to perform, and roughly 1.5-2 hours to set up and sound check prior to our performance. The Groove Jacks played our wedding and were outstanding! Really skilled musicians with a great setlist and quality sound. Professional and communicative throughout. And most importantly had the whole wedding party up dancing. Highly recommend! Thank you so much Groove Jacks.

We hosted Groove Jacks for the first time in October 2023 and second time in January 2024 and I must say on both occasions a wonderful time was had by all! These guys are friendly, polite & professional and with their line-up of classic rock covers, including hits from Fleetwood Mac & David Bowie they sure know how to fill the venue and get the room up dancing! The landlord’s personal favourite is their particularly amazing cover of David Bowie’s “Starman”. As a venue, we host live music very frequently so we know a great band when we see/hear one! Our customers are still frequently asking when Groove Jacks are returning and many have even branded them as “the best band” they’ve seen here at the Market Inn!

Groove Jacks will perform as a duo, with vocals and acoustic guitars, playing relaxed acoustic renditions of songs from the 60s & 70s. Price given for 2 x 45 minute performance.

Groove Jacks will perform as a trio with two acoustic guitars, acoustic bass, and two vocalists for a relaxed set of acoustic songs from the 60s & 70s. Price given for 2 x 45 minute performance.

The Wedding Package 4 musicians

Our Wedding Package includes three performances of 45 mins (with breaks) + encores during your wedding reception. We provide a DJ/music through the PA service for in-between, before, and 30 minutes after our sets. If desired, we will learn your first dance song, given we have at least one month’s notice.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our audiences always praise our engaging, danceable and varied set lists, as well as the high level of musicianship on stage. The band members have many years of combined performance and gigging experience, all of which makes for a very polished and professional live show.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Our band members are musically proficient in a wide range of genres and have been influenced by many different styles of music. As a band, Groove Jacks has a focus on Classic Rock music from the 1960s and 1970s. Our aim is to deliver a '60s/70s experience' at our shows, through a re-creation of the look, sound, and vibe from this golden age of music.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, we strive to ensure that the line-up you get on the night is what you see in our videos. We do, however, have a network of high-quality 'dep' musicians who are able to fill in if a band member falls ill. Our reputation is highly important to us, so you can be confident that our performance will always meet our usual high standard.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

It is always our number one priority that your event runs as smoothly as possible. We know event planning can be volatile and subject to change. If your timings have changed after you've booked us, just let us know and most of the time we will be able to accommodate for it with no issue.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is an incredibly popular request and we offer this service for free. We can play music through the PA before, in-between, and for up to 30 minutes after our last set. Either let our playlist run or plug in your own iPhone/iPad/iPod.

How much time do you need to set up?

Typically we like to have 1.5-2 hours to set up and sound check prior to our performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are carefully crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure we get your guests up dancing and having an amazing time. But you are certainly welcome to let us know if you have any specific songs from our repertoire list that you'd like us to play and we'll be sure to work them in!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. We provide all the equipment we need to deliver our performance, including a high-quality PA sound system and lighting rig. All we need from you on the night is access to power and a minimum space of 3m by 4m to perform.
