The Grand Union Connection

I’d been recommended The Grand Union Connection by a mutual friend and after meeting them, we decided to book them for our wedding reception in Chiswick. They played two sets of some of the very best soul, funk and upbeat blues songs, really doing justice to the Motown, Stax and Atlantic record-label era they all clearly love playing. Our guests were up and dancing from the first number and the carefully-chosen playlist they chose for the rest of the night was spot on. They didn’t require any supervision, we told them what we’d like and they just made it happen, co-ordinating with the venue, caterers and everyone else involved, they were just really easy to work with. Book them, you won’t be disappointed!

We booked The Grand Union Connection for my Wife’s birthday party and we did so because; • their song choices we really liked (not the usual function-band choices, it was amazing how many people came up to us afterwards to comment on the songs, saying they hadn’t heard this or that ‘….in years, but what a great tune!’) • they were affordable • they made sure everything ran smoothly with the venue and the DJ we had booked also • they were so easy to deal with The standard of musicianship was incredible, total professionalism, the best function/covers band we’ve ever seen!
