About Grace

Singer & pianist based in Glasgow - I love sharing live music with people!
Singing pianist
Glasgow
Public liability insurance of £10 million

I believe live music can really make an event stand out and be memorable, and I love being able to give clients that extra lift. I have 25 years of training & experience in classical, folk, jazz, country & pop music. I've played 100+ weddings, along with countless birthdays, anniversaries, conferences, parties and corporate events. I also have extensive experience of playing at funerals and memorial services, and will always provide clients with professionalism and sensitivity. If you'd like to have some live piano (with or without vocals) at your event, get in touch and we'll work out what will suit you best! We can even add in some acoustic guitar if you'd like. When I'm not performing alone, I'm touring with my 2 bands: Mist & Wing, and The Brogues Ceilidh Band, or as an orchestral flautist! I love dogs, good food, and travelling with my husband - who's also a full-time musician.

Hi Al and Grace, We just wanted to say thanks so much for playing at our wedding! You guys did a superb job and we loved the Orcadian Strip The Willow idea for our first dance, you were great at calling it and it was brilliant to see all our best friends and family up dancing with us. We all loved your fun mix of music too, you were very accommodating. We have the best memories from our very special day. Love Hannah and Pete 🙂

“I wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much we appreciated your playing at the wedding, it certainly went well with so many folk up dancing… Thank you also for accommodating a last minute change to the first dance… Thank you again, we would have no hesitation in recommending you to others.”

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My performances elevate events and lift the atmosphere, through unique song choice and a friendly disposition!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

An Lanntair Boturich Castle Bridgewater Hall Brig' O' Doon Comrie Croft Dalswinton Estate Fingask Castle Grand Central Hotel House For An Art Lover Isla Gladstone Conservatory Lews Castle Loch Lomond Shores Mar Lodge Mount Druid Oran Mòr Portavadie Marina Royal Festival Hall Royal Opera House Sherbrooke Castle Strathpeffer Pavilion The People's Palace

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Alison Krauss Ben Folds Billy Joel Carpenters Coldplay Dua Lipa Duffy Einaudi Ella Fitzgerald Elton John Jackson Browne Jason Isbell Jessie J Josh Ritter Kate Rusby Keane Lady A Lady Gaga Maroon5 Miley Cyrus Norah Jones Oasis Queen Sara Bareilles Stevie Nicks Stevie Wonder Taylor Swift The Chicks The Everly Brothers The Fratellis The Killers Whitney Houston

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

It would have to be a tie between The Cavern Club in Liverpool (the place The Beatles made famous!) or a sold-out Royal Festival Hall in London.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Don't worry! Timings can often change as the event date gets closer - especially for weddings. Let me know as soon as you know of any changes, and we'll sort something out.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, of course! This is available at no extra cost.

How much time do you need to set up?

20 minutes is usually enough - even less if the venue already has a tuned grand piano!

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

If it's a tuned grand piano, absolutely! If it's an upright, I'd want to try it out before the event - this wouldn't cost you anything more though.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My setlist have been crafted over years of experience and hundreds of gigs - but I'm very happy to chat it through with you in advance to make sure I get the right vibe. Requests can be made until 3 weeks before the event.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, absolutely! I'll always take my own digital piano unless the venue has a working tuned grand piano.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

As long as they're given at least 3 weeks before the event, and the songs are appropriate, then yes!
