About Grace Foley

A Classical Crossover singer with a warm, dark Celtic sound and a contemporary edge. Guaranteed to wow any audience with a voice of gold!
Singer
Kerry

Grace Foley's musical roots are grounded in Classical training having started voice lessons at the age of 14 and going on to study at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. While Grace's vocal training was in Classical music, she always found herself drawn towards contemporary music and so, in 2018, the singer recorded 'Unleashed' which shows her unique style and voice through her favourite songs. The record was co-produced by Brian Connor of the RTE Concert Orchestra and trumpet sensation Niall O Sullivan. This record received a wonderful response and caught the attention of Marty Whelan at RTE Lyric FM who went on to make it one of his 'Marty Recommends'. In 2019 Grace embarked on an Irish tour with tenor Wayne Woodman where they sang to packed houses including the John Field Room at the National Concert Hall, the Whale Theatre in Greystones and the INEC Killarney. Since then Grace has gone on to perform with George Murphy at the INEC and she has begun her song writing career. Grace co-wrote 'Close the Door' with Dave McCune in aid of the Simon Communities of Ireland which also features the voice of acclaimed Irish baritone Simon Morgan. Grace recently wrote and recorded her song 'Together Apart' in her home in Killarney which is receiving great feedback worldwide. Grace continued to perform throughout the pandemic in her online concerts titled, 'Live From My Living Room'. In May 2020 Grace sang live on RTE's TV show 'Today' with Daithi O Se and Maura Derrane who described her performance as 'fantastic' and 'like nothing they had had before'. Grace's love of Irish music has also played a big role in her choice of music and so in June 2020 the singer released her version of the epic, 'Danny Boy' which has been played on stations all around the world. Grace's performances have been described as 'powerful' and 'incredibly unique'. The Kerry singer gives voice to the soul and her own voice will hit you right in the heart.

Watching Grace sing live in front of you is quite an extraordinary experience! You don't realize how powerful she is and sounds until she starts performing. Then you start time traveling to wherever that song takes you in time and you sometimes forget you're in a hall full of other people, until you hear the clapping at the end :) She is absolute talent, power and grace all in one.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Singing at the National Concert Hall Dublin to a packed audience in 2019 as part of my Irish tour. I also sang especially for Irish designer Don O Neill in 2018 which was an honour.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know. If the event runs only slightly over time there will be no added fee.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can play audio on my device in the lead up to and just after my performance.

How much time do you need to set up?

Set up will very much depend if I am using the equipment provided at the venue, if the venue is bringing in outside gear or if it is acapella. If possible it would be best to sound check before any guests arrive.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure the audience gets a good variety of songs. However, I am definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

If I am travelling outside Ireland I will only provide my own mic, mic lead and the device to play my tracks on. Inside Ireland I can provide a small PA system suited to smaller venues.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I will do my very best learn it and assess if it is suited to my style of singing. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times
