Fantastic! They were very professional, a good laugh and popular with my friends and family. Friends have booked them for their wedding in July on the back of seeing them at my 30th.

The band were fantastic. We had a wedding with around 80 guests the majority of whom had never been to a Ceilidh before. The band were brilliant with their instruction and patience making everyone feel at ease and dancing like pros by the end of it. Thank you gents. Would 100% recommend

The Glenpark Ceilidh Band was fantastic and was one of the highlights of our wedding. They were easy to communicate with, flexible in arrangement, and excellent musicians. We asked them to provide background instrumental strings for our cocktail hour, a 3-piece Ceilidh to start the dancing, and to DJ at the end of our evening. They played great string music at the cocktail hour providing lively energy while still allowing guests to talk. Many of our guests had never done Ceilidh dancing before but the band picked easier dances, demonstrated, and called them really well. The audio equipment was rocking from the first dance. They were also kind enough to DJ for the last hour and did a great job of reading the room and keeping the dance floor going through the last song. They were friendly, funny, and easy-going throughout. I would highly recommend the band to anyone planning a celebration with music.

We had an excellent evening with the Glenpark Ceilidh band. They completely complied with the suggestions that we made for the evening which allowed us to enjoy dancing, listening to their music and the opportunity for our guests to chat to one another. Everyone enjoyed the evening.

We booked Glenpark for our wedding after enjoying them at a Hogmanay event the previous year and we weren't disappointed. The quality of playing and professionalism was fantastic. We had a lot of guests who had never been to a ceilidh and the caller did a brilliant job of explaining the dances. They struck just the right balance of dances and breathers in between so that the floor was never empty. We had so many comments afterwards about how much everyone enjoyed the ceilidh.

Customer questions

Can you perform covers?

Yes, we can perform covers as part of our set. However, if this is something you would specifically like, we would request that you let us know at the time of booking so that we can ensure the line-up we have for the night can accommodate for this.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes. Our standard line-up is a 3-piece band, typically consisting of fiddle, guitar and drum kit. We also offer 4 and 5 piece line-ups which can include accordion, keyboard, bass guitar or an extra fiddle, depending on your preferences.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are happy to be flexible with timings after the booking is made. For additional time, we may need to revise the original fee quoted at the booking stage, however, if it is just a change to the start and finish times, then we can generally accommodate this.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, as standard we would provide background music during any intervals between our sets. We can also offer a DJ service which is a very popular choice and can help break up the evening well.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually look for 1-hour to set up just before the performance begins. However, if you are tight for time, or require an early set up for any reason, we will look to work with you to find a solution that works best for your event.

Do you provide a caller?

Yes, we will always have a dance caller as part of our line-up as standard who will call and explain all dances as we go. We have played for a wide range of audiences, so as long as your guests are willing, we will get them up dancing!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, we are happy for you to select specific dances that you would like from our set list, and if there are dances which you have in mind which are not listed, please let us know.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA) included in your quote?

Yes, PA and lighting equipment required for our performance is always included as part of any quote that we provide. If you have any specific PA requirements, we would be happy to discuss this at the booking stage and can arrange to hire additional equipment where required at an additional cost.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. If you have specific dances in mind which are not included as part of our set list, please let us know and we would be happy to learn them in advance of your event.
