We are a group of professional Weddings & Events Musicians who are based in Central Scotland, however operating throughout the UK since 2000. We have been building the diverse repertoire of tunes we perform ever since we started playing music as young children, developing our own unique sound. We can provide you with all the support you need to make your event unique and special.
GD Bagpiping was started by Gordon Dempster who has more than sixteen years’ experience in playing the bagpipes and has performed all over the UK. He has also performed numerous times further afield in countries such as Ireland, Germany, France, Italy and Colorado America in military tattoos and other such like events.
Gordon currently plays with a pipe band ranked in the top ten in the world and competes at grade one level, which is the pipe band association’s premier grade.
Over time as GD Bagpiping grew, it became apparent that all bookings were quickly becoming too much for one person to honour. Therefore a few carefully selected friends were added to our business who are also bookable through GD Bagpiping.
All of our pipers are vastly experienced and have performed at numerous large scale events all over the world. Furthermore all have very high standard of ability, owing to them either currently or previously having competed at Grade one level, which is the Pipe Band Associations premier grade.
