After playing a typical afternoon jazz duo gig at a wedding, we were packing down when a desperate groom came up to us asking us to continue playing for the evening event as the DJ was a no show. We got out all our toys and made some serious noise. The crowd loved us and we had a blast. Then we thought, “hey, we sound like a full band, why dont we do this as a regular thing?”
As we have both played in wedding/function bands collectively for 20+ years we bring all the elements of a full piece band into a condensed 2 piece.
Covering all genres through the ages (from Dusty Springfield to Rudimental), we read the crowd giving each audience the music they want to dance to. Keeping it fun, interactive (Lyla always runs around into the crowd!) with high quality musicianship (no backing tracks), we ensure the party keeps going from start to finish.

WHO ARE WE?
LYLA TADANIER
Lyla has performed across the UK, Europe and Australasia for the past fourteen years. Working with the producers such as Mike Rowe (Rolling Stones, Oasis, Sheryl Crow), Clive Lendich (Boys II Men, Jermaine Jackson), Tim Dudfield (Ce Ce Peniston), Greystoke Productions (Elton John, Lemar) she has gained publishing credits with Sony BMG, Zomba Music and Ministry of Sound. As well as fronting her own rock band, she is also a full time session singer, vocal coach and has been a lead vocalist for over 2 dozen top UK corporate and original bands performing for the likes of Shirley Bassey, Mick Jagger, Tony Hadley, Kylie Minogue, Jimmy Somerville, Luke Evans, Malcolm McClaren, Plymouth Music Festival, Mainz Music Festival (Germany), Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and at venues including the Jazz Café, Sydney Opera House, Hotel de Paris (Monaco), and The Royal Ascot.

JONNY HAMLER
Hailing from the leafy pastures of Suffolk, Jon has been playing professionally since the age of 12. He trained at the University of Surrey where he received the accolade for 'Most outstanding bassist of the year and has played in leading corporate function bands for the past 10 years. Last year he completed a 4 month stint on the luxury cruise liner Seabourn where he backed many world-class performers including Brit-award winning vocal group Blake. Jon has played at major festivals including Reading opening for Blondie and The Stranglers. He is partial to a good mid-set cheese platter.
