We have even performed for the Queen! If there is a special piece that you would like for your wedding or event we can arrange this for you at no additional cost. Members of the Finishing Touch can also be booked as a soloist, duo or trio at a reduced fee. Please see our reviews in respect of all aspects of our work. Members of the ensemble are also successful professional freelance musicians in their own right, having performed with the Chichester Pro Camerata, Royal Scottish National, BBC Concert, BBC Radio, Liverpool Philharmonic and BBC Philharmonic orchestras. Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our clients are happy with the whole experience from booking to performance. We pride ourselves on efficiency from the first enquiry, to meeting the needs of the client in respect of repertoire and performance. Being conservatoire trained, we take the quality of our work very seriously, with the highest quality professional performance foremost in mind.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

As well as performing for social functions as a string quartet we perform as professional freelance musicians and as such have performed in concert halls in London and around the world. The Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Centre and South Bank Centre are to name but a few.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We are very open minded when it comes to influences. We like performing all musical styles and appreciate the work and performances of countless musicians.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

In addition to performing to the Queen (November 2019), I performed to an audience of over five thousand people at a classical music charity function and on-line one of our videos for The Sidemen has had over 24 million views!

Do you have different line-up options?

The Finishing Touch can perform as a solo violinist, string duo, trio or quartet. If you would like a small orchestra this can also be arranged through discussion and negotiation.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

It is usually not a problem if your timings change slightly on the day of your event. Please let us know and we can discuss through your preferred arrangements.

How much time do you need to set up?

It will take us very little time to set up - a matter of minutes! All we need are chairs without arms so that we can bow comfortably, alongside a good level of light.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We have played as an ensemble for many years and play a balanced repertoire, however we totally understand that it is your day and you can choose from our repertoire list or even request a favourite piece. We will always try to accommodate the style of music you would like to hear.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Apart from chairs we have everything we need!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Given enough time before your event, we will arrange a special piece for you free of charge.

One of the musicians phones vibrated for a good while during my ceremony and I thought we had agreed to have them back at the marquee playing for a while seeing as we paid for a few hours but and the church service was only 45minutes, however I dont remember seeing them? My wedding planner cancelled on me 5days before the wedding so I didn't have anyone other than myself and my mother in law to be the runaround so guess this could have been the issue.

Dear Megan, I apologise that the mobile phone vibrated - it was put on silent on arrival but had been left in the music case by mistake. I am a bit surprised by your review as we did play at the marquee up until guests entered for their meal as requested? We had to play within the marquee itself rather than outside as it was so windy that the music was blowing off the stands even with pegs fixing it - in fact the stands were blowing over when outside. We stopped the session when your Mother-in-Law agreed for us to do so and she and her husband thanked us very much for our playing during the day, saying how much they enjoyed it. This was echoed by other thanks from guests. Michael The Finishing Touch
