FAZE is a London-based five piece funk and soul band complete with keys, drums, electric guitar, bass, backing and lead vocals. With over 70 years live experience performance between them, FAZE are well versed in the music world and know how to curate an unforgettable experience unique to each client. Fronted by BRIT School Alumni and up and coming artist Yazmine MB, FAZE performs a diverse set list of funk, soul, disco and mo-town covers suitable for weddings, celebrations and other functions. With a number of quality private functions and fantastic venues already under their belt, FAZE is expected to have an exciting 2023 with parties, festivals weddings to play! Highlights include: Headlining a private party at Tamesis Dock, supporting a big jazz-funk act at the Whitecross Festival, headline show at the Underbelly in Hoxton, weddings at the Bedford, The National Portrait Gallery and The 100 Club. FAZE hopes to wow you with their sharp, innovative repertoire and professional approach.

We booked FAZE for our wedding which was on the 9th August after seeing some of their videos and loving Yazmines voice and the rest of the bands talents! It’s safe to say we were not disappointed in the slightest and it was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! In the lead up Yazmine was fantastic with helping us establish our set lists and also we were able to choose 3 songs of our own that the band rehearsed before our day. Every single guest was up dancing the night away, and they really knew how to bring such an amazing vibe to the evening. They are all so friendly and so incredibly talented! Also I had asked Yazmine to do a special shout out with one of the songs and she remembered every detail for us. We could not recommend FAZE enough for your wedding/event and every guest since have not stopped talking about how fantastic they were! The biggest thank you to Yazmine and the band! Xxxx

FAZE was the perfect choice for our wedding band! They created an amazing atmosphere with their music & entertainment on the evening of our wedding this summer. Yaz and the band members beautifully interpreted our song choices, adding a romantic touch that made our day truly special. FAZE were also really friendly when we interacted with them along the way and we would highly recommend for an unforgettable soulful wedding experience! Special shout out to Jonny on the electric guitar who provided our music earlier in the day for our ceremony, reception and dinner, he has incredible skill and talent and we loved his style too!

FAZE were the perfect band for our wedding. So many of our guests said that they were the best live band they'd seen at a wedding. Yazmine worked with us on curating a great playlist for the night, combining some of the more modern Neo-Soul music that our friends love and the funk and soul classics to get the whole family dancing. Yazmine had an amazing voice and was great with the crowd. Thank you so much for making the night so memorable.

FAZE provided an amazing soundtrack to my wife's birthday party. Before the event, Yazmine asked me to select a few sample tracks that she used to make the set list and pre/post Spotify playlist. On the night, the vocals and music was out of this world and perfectly captured the spirit of the party. I would definitely recommend!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Audience feedback has told us that our stage presence is fabulous! We don't hesitate to use all our performance space to dance and engage the crowd. Our current set list has proven to be very popular however our audiences have loved some of our original tracks too! The debut release for our first original track 'Carried Away' is out at the end of January.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We've performed all over London and in the UK at a variety of venues! Bigger venues include: The Underbelly Hoxton, The Rebel Inn, The Whitecross Festival, The Islington, The PWC Festival of Games, Tamesis Dock Boat Party Smaller, Acoustic/ Niche Venues Include: The Cucumber Bar, The Apple Store, The National Portrait Gallery, FYA Youth Film Festival

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We're influenced by a wide range of Funk, Soul and Mo-Town stars from various eras including; Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars. Our original music takes influence from Neo-Funk artist like Thundercat, Anderson Paak, and The Internet.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The Whitecross Festival has been a massive highlight so far! 200+ people gathered to watch our set in the hot weather. We are currently booking more festivals for 2020. Another favourite gig of ours was at Tamesis Dock. We played to a very lively crowd of punters in a boat on the Thames. The venue was packed and the crowd interaction was incredible!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

FAZE strives to make sure the band members you meet are the same on the night. Lead singer Yazmine MB has never missed a gig and our band members are carefully picked through an audition process. Every member will confirm a date before it is finalised with a client. In the event of an unexpected illness or emergency, we use pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard line up is a five piece band complete with Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Drums and Bass. We also have 2 piece, 3 piece and 6 piece options available on request.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible and work with any changes made to your original booking. Reach out to us and we'll see what we can do!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. We use Spotify to create our playlists for use in-between our sets. These can be tweaked to suit your event. If you'd require a DJ, we have several contacts that we can reach out to at your request.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually arrive at venues 1 to 1.5 hours before our designated start time. This may vary for smaller/larger line-up options.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Of course! Our current setlist has been tried and tested in front of many audiences and is guaranteed to get people up and dancing! You can share the genres you want and allow us to curate for you, choose a couple of songs and let us do the rest or pick majority of our set if you prefer!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We're happy to provide sound equipment and engineering for your event and have multiple sound packages to cater to audience size and venue type. If your venue already has sound or is part equipped, we can do this too! Let us know what you're working with or give us a number to get in touch with your venue and we can go from there.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We are more than happy to add a selection of new songs or take suggestions for a personal touch. There's a high chance we might already know them! For more than three new songs we'll charge £10 each - just to account for rehearsal fees.
