Ellen Connelly is a talented Jazz and Popular music vocalist from Glasgow, currently based in London. Before moving to Leeds in 2016, Ellen toured around the UK singing with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland. During her time at Leeds College of Music, Ellen performed with LCoM's Contemporary Jazz Orchestra and the Conservatoire UK Big Band.

Ellen was the perfect musician for our garden wedding. Her voice is soft and gentle and she sang beautifully while we had our dinner . We had a wide range of ages, tending to older , with grandchildren and everyone agrees the music was perfect . Thank you Ellen .

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be as flexible as possible to help make your event run as smoothly as possible. If timings change in the run up to the event just let us know!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can definitely provide an iPod service to make sure the atmosphere carries through between sets!

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually need about 15-30 minutes to set up. As soon as we arrive and set up our PA system, we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Our set list is predominantly jazz but if you have some special requests, we'd be happy to add them in to make sure your guests have an amazing time!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I can provide my own PA system that is suitable for small venues.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list, you can always request a song and I'd be happy to learn this for you!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love my versatility - I can sing Jazz, Pop, Musical Theatre and Classical. Whatever you feel best fits your event!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed around the country as part of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland, this included BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016. I have also performed at Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival and Glasgow Jazz Festival. I have experience singing at events in restaurants , hotels and weddings.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am most influenced by the jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The most high profile gig I have performed is BBC Proms at The Royal Albert Hall in 2016 as part of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland, with guest artists Liane Carroll and Iain Ballamy.
