Eduardas Armonas is an award-winning guitarist from Lithuania, now based in the UK. He performs regularly in London and at festivals and venues across Europe. In 2013 he formed contemporary jazz outfit the Ed Arm Trio with bassist Matthew Read and drummer Joe Pearson, both fellow graduates from London’s prestigious Guildhall School of Music. The trio play a mix of standards and originals, exploring new sounds while staying true to jazz tradition and taking inspiration from many of the greats of jazz guitar, among them Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Barney Kessel and Peter Bernstein. Ed also does extensive work as a sideman, playing in pit bands and with both jazz and pop artists, including Mario Basanov aka Ten Walls, whose 2014 single ‘Walking with Elephants’ reached number 6 on the UK singles chart, and acclaimed Estonian singer and television star Sofia Rubina-Hunter. His current UK projects include work with Anna Marie Johnson, Stephen O’Gorman, Lily Osborn, Ekaterina Sharigina and Sandeep Raval.

Katya has a lovely voice and together with her guitarist Dan played a very good set for our guests attending a degree day lunch. They were extremely professional and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Mary Chalk St Peter's College, Oxford
