"Get into the swing with the Eastside Kings"... and dance the night away! This is an amazing four piece Swing, Rock 'n' Roll, Zydeco and Jump Jive band just for YOU; Bring your dancing shoes! You can't help but get on the dance floor with great versions of classic dance tracks originally performed by Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Big Joe Turner, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Chuck Berry, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Big Mama Thornton, Roy Head, Little Walter, Lazy Lester, Tommy Tucker, Slim Harpo, Rockin Sidney, Clifton Chenier, Good Rockin' Dopsie and the Twisters and a host of other great artists prevalent in the 40s, 50s and 60s. This fabulous line-up features three vocalists, electric guitar, electric bass, full drumkit, flute, Rockin' Bluesy Harmonica and even a Cajun Accordion. As seen at Jive clubs, swing dances, clubs, live music pubs and private parties. Whatever you need us for, we'll be there! Featuring Pete Mathison on guitar and vocals. Ray Davies of "The Kinks" chose Pete as his "go to" guitar picker across eight years of gigging worldwide. When Jerry Lee Lewis' sister Linda Gail Lewis is on tour Pete is sometimes her guitarist. For a while he was in the reformed version of "Freddie and the Dreamers" with Freddie Garrity. He's backed the best, he's very well-respected, having many TV and Radio appearances including on the "Late, Late Show" with Conan O'Brien from New York. As a great guitarist, Pete is the business!), Also seen performing with Ray Davies on "Guitar Greats at the BBC" on UK television (BBC 4). Next, we have multi-instrumentalist Aidan Sheehan on Rockin' Bluesy Harmonica, Flute and Accordion, as seen at Blues Festivals such as Mayfest (Herts), Tenby Blues Festival (Wales), Harmonica UK Festival (Birmingham), Harpin' By The Sea Festival (Hove), Raamsdonksveer Festival (Holland), Bristol Cajun Festival (UK), Gloucester International Cajun and Zydeco Festival (UK), Zydeco at Sea Festival (Holland), Saulieu Cajun and Zydeco Festival (France), Opwijk Louisiana Night Festival (Belgium), Bury International Cajun Festival (Manchester), BBC TV / Radio, two movie appearances and at many more excellent events. Besides playing Rock 'n' Roll, Retro Blues, Jive, Swing and R'n'B he also loves "Folk Americana" such as steamy Louisiana Swamp Music - so much so that he has been to Cajun country in the USA and jammed with his favourite musicians over there. His musical influence adds an interesting "Deep South" twist to this fab line-up. He is also a well-respected harmonica teacher - ALRIGHT! There's a Gumbo-cooking rhythm section with Charlie Kyte on bass (he has played with the best and runs Jive Club and Rock 'n' Roll dance events in the UK. Charlie knows exactly what you need to get you all moving!) and finally we have Phyl Siencyn on drums - his amazing rhythms add a Rockin' good heartbeat to proceedings. These four fab musicians have accumulated years of practical experience from playing in great R'n'R, American-style Roots and R'n'B bands including Whiskey River, Junior Hacksaw, The Hickory Stick Boys, J. Alexander and the Blues Devils, Sting Like a Bee, Red Beans and Rice and (either playing as backing musicians for / or on the same bill) with a string of well-known artists. Be in no doubt, they'll put on a great show. If you love and your guests love Rockin' Rhythms and dancing the night away to absolute Classics whilst enjoying a really good night out then remember... "THE EASTSIDE KINGS ARE JUST THE THING!" Finally, three of these musicians are based in South Wales, one is based just across the River Wye in the Forest of Dean. They have a professional-standard PA, lights, use top grade musical instruments and equipment plus they have transport. They possess PLI via the MU, they are all top performers, so get in touch and.... GET READY TO ROCK! "The Eastside Kings"

Saw the East Side Kings on Friday at Llanfoist. What a great band, you played music we could dance to all night and a variety of different styles. Gary.

Thank you to all the band members for a brilliant evening. Aidan sprinkled his stardust with a sparkling array of instruments, the drummer's beat was perfect for jiving, not too loud or too fast, every band member complimented each other. The repertoire was lively and interesting, an unusually joyous evening. Sue.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

For a Classic Jump Jive, Swing and Rock 'n' Roll band look no further! We have a rockin' line-up featuring Pete Mathison on guitar and vocals. Pete was Ray Davies' guitarist and backing vocalist following the break-up of "The Kinks". He toured the world with Ray for eight years, appearing at concerts, festivals, TV shows etc. This band ROCKS!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Jive Clubs, festivals, parties, Swing dance clubs, this band will keep you on the dance floor!!!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Walter and suchlike,

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Individually (as we have all been in different bands so we are very experienced) places like Glastonbury, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo for Pete. As for this band, jive and swing clubs up and down the country.

Do you have different line-up options?

Four piece only. Electric guitar, electric bass, drum kit plus a multi-instrumentalist / vocalist (harmonica, keys etc) - three vocalists in all.

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We will play some pre-recorded music on our phone via our PA before we play (if required), also between sets yet it's not the same as an i-Pod service.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We are not a roaming band, yet you'll love us - get in touch.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have spent many hours practising our songs in a certain order so we know where we are musically. The result is that you and your guests will get the VERY BEST show possible. We want you to enjoy that.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, all our PA plus some lighting if needs be.
