Duo Fhocal

We are an acoustic folk duo based in London playing mostly traditional music and songs from Ireland with a bit of Gypsy Swing, Balkan, and Calypso in the mix.  A bit about us: Violinist and Singer Alice is a regular on the London folk scene running an Irish music session and a ceilidh band. Guitarist Waz brings driving rhythms and sometimes even jazz chord voicings to the traditional tunes. Together, we've played everywhere from intimate restaurant settings to raucous St Patricks Day gigs!  Our repertoire makes us well-suited to events where you want something more distinctive than a standard covers band! As well as the folk classics, we are happy take song/tune requests prior to the event with good notice.
