I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Q: How much time do you need to set up?

I will arrive 45-60 minutes prior to the event to set up and tune my harp.

Q: Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Absolutely - I'll include all travel costs, including the transport of my harp, in the quotes.

Q: Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

If you are planning an outdoor event, be sure to have a backup plan in case of rain or snow as harps should not be played outside during winter. Additionally, please have a plan in place for shade or shelter to protect the harp from direct sunlight.

I am happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Q: Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to add your favourite songs for your special moments.

We put a call out on Encore for a harpist who could play Disney & musicals. The message we got back from Dorothy was amazing - it was so personal to us and she as so excited to play the music we wanted. We booked her immediately without question. She is amazing to work with, learning video game and 2000s movie songs for our perfect walking down the aisle experience. Our guests LOVED her and couldn’t stop raving about her all day. We are so grateful to have had someone so genuinely lovely, talented and passionate as part of our wedding, and I couldn’t recommend her enough.

The moment I found Dorothy I knew I wanted her to play at our wedding. She is highly talented and played every song to perfection for our pre interlude, aisle walk and walk back down the aisle. Dorothy kept in contact regularly, checking we were happy with everything, all the songs, how and when she would arrive and every in-between. Honestly if I could do it all again, no doubt in my mind Dorothy would be there playing. Our photographer managed to capture a beautiful shot. We highly recommended Dorothy. Thank you so much.

We got married on 1st June 2024 & hired Dorothy as our harpist for the ceremony & drinks reception. From the very first contact to the wedding day itself, Dorothy was phenomenal. A lovely, warm person to communicate with & incredibly responsive to all queries. We felt she was excited as we were & was really keen to personalise the music set list for us. Her repertoire of songs is impressive - from classical, to Disney, to Studio Ghibli, to Irish, to popular/hit song covers etc. She was additionally happy to learn songs we requested & I cannot express just how much we - & our guests - enjoyed her incredible talent on the day! We were only sad we didn't get to experience more of her music on the day! 110% recommend if you are looking for a harpist for any occasion. Thank you Dorothy! <3
