Donal McCruden

Donal is a drummer, producer and musical director from Glasgow. Since he first started playing drums in church at the age of 8 he has gone on to develop his skills and grow his passion for performing and creating music. His aim is to always bring an authentic and powerful edge to any performance whether he is behind a kit, leading a band as musical director or building an Ableton Live set for your performance. Donal is adept at integrating electronic elements into your set up to provide the sounds of modern music production in your live show. Using technology like the Roland SPDS-SX and Ableton Live, Donal can bring the unique sounds you've sculpted in the studio to your live show and even build new sounds to give your songs a bigger impact live. Whether you need a few signature sounds from your album or whether you need a full tracks rig that controls your production elements like lights and video; Donal has you covered. Donal has played with a myriad of different artists over the years spanning different styles. Including a tour with Ben Monteith (fetured on Emeli Sande's Street Symphony). Currently he plays live with singer-songwriter Zoe Graham. You can also finding Donal playing with function bands Baby Face and The Beltin' Boys, The Jiggers Ceilidh Band and The Brogues Ceilidh Band.
