About Dominic

I am a folk musician specialising in the uilleann pipes, low whistles and voice - I gig all around the UK and overseas.
Uilleann Pipes
Shepton Mallet
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Dominic is an Uilleann piper and multi-instrumentalist from North London hailing from mixed backgrounds of music, from Folk and Celtic to Classical and Jazz. His repertoire includes traditional pieces of music, to his own arrangements of contemporary songs on the pipes and low whistles; he can also learn nearly anything you want on his chosen instruments for your event! Expirienced with running workshops at schools and folk festivals, to performing in groups and as a solo musician in formal ceremonies and corporate events, Dominic's musical ability is matched by his flexibility and creative input with whatever job he approaches. After releasing two albums with his Neo-Folk trio, "TEYR", Dominic is now building a reputation for himself as one of the best pipers in London and the UK folk scene.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Having the uilleann pipes at any event is unique and memorable - virtually every job I do I receive wonderful remarks about how beautiful and spell binging this instrument sounds from the guests at the event.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always like to make sure I'm as flexible as possible for your event. If timings change for any reason, just let me know as soon as possible and I will be happy to accomodate where I can.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! I have a small PA system and will be able to use either my or your device to play a playlist of your choice for an additional cost of £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

In reality my set up time is around 10-15 minutes, but I always advise that I get into the venue and start tuning up about an hour before my start time - for the most peace of mind!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is a collection of the songs I perform at all my solo performances, however if there is something you want me to play that isn't on my list, do get in touch and I can learn up to three additional pieces of your choice.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring all my own instruments and even my own seating! If needed I will bring a PA system that is fully PAT tested too.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Absolutely! Included in my hire fee is learning up to three songs of your choice on the uilleann pipes or low whistle.
