Their original music influences are India Arie, Tracy Chapman, and Jacob Banks, whilst their jazz influences are vocal powerhouses like Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin and Samara Joy. With a versatile repertoire of over 40 songs, they perform everything from soulful jazz standards to contemporary neo-soul, funk, and original material. Originally a solo artist after being in gospel choirs, Davina joined forces with her keys player Ed after meeting on the open mic scene, to make a formidable partnership. Both seasoned performers, they’ve appeared at theatres, universities, and festivals across the Midlands and London, as well as at intimate venues and exclusive events. Their chemistry and artistry guarantee a performance that feels fresh, soulful, and deeply engaging—every time. Their most notable shows to date have been performing at the Benjamin Zephania tribute event for the first anniversary of his passing at his families request. Performing for 2 years running at the Rose Thompson Foundation Charity Ball. Performing with a full band at festivals over the summer. Davina and Ed have known each other for a while and have a strong connection. They have been writing songs together this year, which has strengthened their bond.
