David has been playing, singing and writing for over 25 years and has developed a large repertoire as well as a definitive songwriting style during that time. He has played on many a different stage and to crowds as big as 25,000 people. He is currently frontman for The Father Teds and also plays drums for Take Cover and is equally competent at the front or back of the stage. He has recently returned from Seville where he studied Flamenco guitar with the great Francisco ‘El Pulga’ Morales. He also works with vocal coach Ruth Wood ensuring he keeps his voice in top condition and has been recording his own music, as well as others, for over 15 years. David likes to play solo gigs whenever he can fit them in to his busy schedule and can cover a broad range of styles including Folk, Pop, Rock, Latin, Flamenco and many more..

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, NIN, QOTSA, TVOTR, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra to name but a few.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

A Bob Brolly and Friends event to a sold out Symphony Hall sharing the stage with the likes of Jasper Carrot, Dave Spikey, Ruby Turner and Bev Bevan.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I’m generally quite flexible. Get in touch ASAP and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I normally provide background music before and between sets at no extra charge. I don’t offer a DJ service as yet.

How much time do you need to set up?

Setup time can vary depending on the venue but an hour should be more than ample in most situations.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

No. My set lists are crafted to work in a particular way in order to get the best from my voice and also entertain the audience.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes I provide instrumentation and microphones. I can also bring a PA if required.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

There may be a chance I can learn a song for the event depending on time restrictions. This may incurr an additional cost.
