My name is Daisy Mae and I’m a solo singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Plymouth. My original music is in the style of acoustic jazz and indie pop. I have two EP’s available on Spotify and iTunes, and my songs are often about staying true in times of uncertainty. I play a range of cover songs, from jazzy ballads to upbeat songs that will hopefully get people dancing! Just let me know what you’re looking for, and I’ll try my best to play songs that are fitting to your event. I am also open to suggestions prior to a gig. What do your clients love most about your performances?

I interact between songs, and say what my original music is about. I sometimes ask whether people would prefer more covers/originals or upbeat/slow songs, as there's nothing worse than having to listen to songs you can't stand!

I love listening to these artists for their truthful lyrics and soulful melodies: Adele, Greentea Peng, Billie Holiday, Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald, Yasmin Lacey, Sade, Bob Dylan.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

My favourite and biggest gig I have done was playing on the main stage at Tunes In The Park festival. The Kooks, Kaiser Chiefs, and Sam Ryder also played on this weekend.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If I’m still able to play at the new date/time I would love to! If you could just let me know as soon as the times have changed that would be great.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can play music, and requested songs from my phone through the speakers but I’m not able to provide a full DJ service.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about an hour before the event begins, just so I can do a sound check and become familiar with the venue.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

If there is a song or two you wouldn’t like me to play please let me know! However, I won’t be able to change my set list completely as those are the songs I’ve most prepared and rehearsed. If you have any requests prior to the gig, please let me know and I'll try my best to learn them!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring my own microphone, mic stand, boss cube amp, and a battery amp, which works well for small and medium sized venues.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I will try my best to learn any suggested songs if given time to prepare them prior to the event!
